The Office of Student Affairs will sponsor an essay contest to follow up on the recent “Dream Alive” presentation by Mr. Joe Rogers, former Lieutenant Governor of Colorado. In 250 words or fewer, students are encouraged to write an essay which answers the question, “How will I keep Dr. King’s dream alive?” Essays will be judged by a panel of faculty members and must be received NO LATER than 2:20 PM on Tuesday, February 16. The author of the winning essay will receive a $25 credit from the CCHS bookstore and an AUTOGRAPHED copy of Joe Roger’s book, The Letter to My Son. The winner will also have his essay published on the school website. The second place entry will receive a “Dream Alive” long sleeved T-shirt and a $10 bookstore credit.
