Freshmen Applications
All
8th grade students applying for 9th grade (Class of 2014) must take the STS High School Placement Test
either at Central Catholic or at another Catholic High School that uses the STS
HSPT. Any applicants who are unable to attend the Central Catholic testing
date (Dec 12th & 19th 2009) or a testing date at another Catholic High School will be subject to a make-up test later in the spring.
Applicants who took the STS Test at another school, students who are waiting for the make-up test later this spring, or those in need of additional copies of the freshman application pages may download and submit the complete Freshman Application Packet.
10th and 11th Grade Applications
Students
applying for the tenth or eleventh grade will be evaluated on the basis of
their report card, standardized testing, and recommendations from their present
principal. An interview may also be required. Students applying for the 10th or
11th grade must have a 75% or higher in all of their academic courses to be
considered for admission.
Central Catholic does not accept senior transfers. Students may not transfer
into Central Catholic once the school year has started. Transfer Applications can be downloaded here.
Financial Aid Application
Tuition
assistance based on need is available for students from funds raised by alumni
and friends of Central Catholic, the Bishop's Education Fund, and the E.I.T.C.
Program. To apply for financial aid complete and submit the Private School Aid Service application. This one application accounts for all funding sources
available through Central Catholic and the Diocese of Pittsburgh.
Additional
aid may be available through other local non-profit organizations including The Crossroads
Foundation , Bravo Foundation ,
The Bridge
Educational Foundation , The Poise Foundation ,
and Junior
